You picked up our card in your conference bag. Here’s the short version of Hatch The Chicken.
We bring a tabletop incubator, seven fertile eggs, a candling light and a chick brooder kit to your room and set it all up. Twenty-one days of incubation, then two weeks with the chicks. At the end of the five weeks we collect everything — chicks included. They come home to our farm in Northford and join the flock.
- There is nothing to monitor. The incubator turns the eggs itself. No temperature to hold, no humidity to manage, no turning schedule.
- From $225 — under $250, so most directors can approve it without a purchase order.
- Delivery included within 50 miles of Northford — most of Connecticut.
- Spring 2027 weeks are open now. Tell us the week you’d like and we’ll confirm what’s available and send you a dated quote for your business office.
Everything Your Director Needs — free
We’re finishing a packet for early childhood programs. It includes written access procedures for your health consultant, our certificate of insurance, our W-9, a parent notification letter in English and Spanish, CT ELDS alignment, and a sample quote.

About children under five
CDC advises against keeping live poultry in facilities serving children under 5. Connecticut licensing doesn’t prohibit it — RCSA § 19a-79-7a(e) requires written access procedures — and we supply them, including a no-touch protocol your health consultant can sign off on. Across our Connecticut and New York programs since 2022: zero reported illnesses. We’ll also tell you straight — some health consultants will say no, and that’s a fair call.
